Nicolette Vlaardingerbroek- Primary Education Teacher

My name is Nicolette. Since September 2016, I have been teaching Dutch on behalf of Dutch for Kids. I have two daughters, and we live in De Meern.

Because I always knew how to get a good click with children from an early age, the choice for the PABO was quickly made: dealing with children in combination with teaching. After obtaining my diploma in 2008, I worked at two primary schools in Montfoort and Woerden for over seven years.

Before I started with PABO, I obtained my diploma in nutrition and health at Wageningen University. After that, I worked in health education for quite a few years. What I regretted was that I mainly developed projects and that others were allowed to carry them out. And that while I find the contact with people so challenging and enjoyable, it was time for a change, hence my switch to education and my choice for PABO.

I really think it’s a party that I can now work for DfK: intensive individual contact with the children and the opportunity to offer every child the right attention and guidance at his or her level!
