Pauline Groenenberg – Primary School Teacher

My name is Pauline and since January 2022 I have been teaching the students of Dutch for Kids.

I am a primary school teacher and worked at a special education school for six years after obtaining my PABO diploma.

I learned a lot from that, including working with level groups, adapting to the students’ individual needs, promoting their self-confidence, and ensuring that they enjoychool after they have had difficult/negative experiences in regular primary education going back to s.

I love to travel and am adventurous. In 2012, I therefore decided to leave the Netherlands indefinitely. In recent years, I have lived in Egypt, Morocco, and Oman, among others, and have worked in international schools as a group teacher in the lower grades. I went through this with a lot of pleasure and love.

I currently live in Tunisia and tutor in English. I also offer creative activities for children, where they learn English in a playful way. I really enjoy doing this because I love being creative with my students.

I know from experience that children learn the most when they can try out, experience and discover things by playing/working with toys/materials that match their age and experience.

It is very important to me that children have fun while learning, and I will therefore do everything I can to ensure that your child feels comfortable with me and enjoys following my lessons.

In my free time, I enjoy taking (long) bike rides, meeting up with friends, nature, the beach, being creative, discovering Tunisia further, reading, and walking.
