Online dutch lessons for expat children via skype and expat lessen for children all over the world via zoom

A while back, I had a conversation with a family with a heartwarming story that I’d like to share with you all. The father is Dutch, the mother is Polish, and they decided to move to Poland when their children were teenagers. Quite a change for the family! The children adapted quickly, but understandably, they faced challenges at school.

After a while, the big question arose: what should they do with the Dutch language? They hadn’t paid attention to it for over a year because they were so busy integrating into Polish society. Sounds familiar, right? Many expat families encounter this dilemma. How do you maintain a connection to your native language when living in a different country?

Fortunately, these parents found the solution with us. Their children have been taking online Dutch lessons with Dutch for Kids for a while now, and it’s been fantastic! Both the kids and the parents are thrilled with the progress they’ve made. In a short period, they’ve caught up and are now working at the level of their Dutch peers.

The beauty of it is that if these children ever decide to return to the Netherlands, they won’t be disadvantaged in the Dutch education system. As teachers at Dutch for Kids, we feel an incredible sense of fulfillment. We’re so happy to see children maintain their language skills no matter where they are in the world.

Investing in your children’s Dutch language skills opens doors to new cultures and opportunities, providing them with a valuable gift. Let’s work together to preserve the Dutch language wherever we may be in the world!
